Welcome...
According to recent surveys, most of Missoula's citizens enjoy living in the Garden City, and "Quality of Life" rates very high. They value our clean and healthy
environment which offers an abundance of year-round recreational activities.
Citizens also cited the importance of Missoula's openness to a variety of lifestyles and
tolerance towards people with differing viewpoints. As a university town, Missoula supports an exciting
cultural community of arts, literature, music and theatre.
These same surveys also revealed an uneasiness with Missoula's political leadership.
Mainstream Missoula believes a healthy community can emerge when more citizens participate in discussing issues which affect
the future of our city. Therefore, our mission is to chronicle those issues in a non-biased easy to understand forum.
Take a look at some of the issues that are facing Missoula here.
